My little guy….what a trooper.After missing a whole week of school, (after only the second week of the school year)he goes back today. I hope he does alright. The doctor has him pumped full of so many medications right now, one of which includes Cortisone, that I worry he will be a bit loopy during [...]       It’s bright. It’s sun-shiny. There’s not a doctor or nurse in sight and the only sounds in the room are my sighs of relief. We’re finally home. Zach was able to keep his blood oxygen percentage above 93, OFF of his oxygen, so the doctor said he could be released. He still needs to [...] It’s dark. It’s quiet. The alarms have finally shut off and the only sound in the room is the hollow echo of my sweet boy’s painful breaths. We’re back here again. I’ve grown quite used to the signs at this point. Short, shallow breaths, coughing, wheezing, and watching what looks like his tiny heart try [...] [...] What on earth would I do with myself if I didn’t have at least one member of my family to nurse, dope up and coddle for a week at a time?I can honestly say that I don’t think an entire 2 weeks have passed around here without ONE of my children having one form or [...] |
