I have been thinking of doing a sweet little crochet project like this for the past couple of months and with February 14th quickly approaching, it’s the PERFECT time to do it!

L-O-V-E letters tucked inside of a small crocheted envelope.

And of course, sealed with a “Kiss”.

how does a child know just exactly how to reach that soft, tender, vulnerable spot in your heart?
they seem to posses the special ability to pluck at those heart strings in such a way that sounds like the most heart breaking song.

for about a year now, Zoe has made it a habit to draw or write something and then fold it up and “mail” it to me.

she will either bring it over to me in person or leave it on my nightstand.

this morning, after I dropped her off at school, I got home and glanced over to the sideboard and found this:

left especially for me.

I know these huge endearments that I now hold so dearly, will later fade into memories.

most likely, this little tradition will slowly pass on and be replaced by a private diary with lock and key, by slammed doors and a fair share of “whatever” ‘s.

I can only hope that she will remember her own wise words:
“I love u”.
