finished, finally. I made four of these, each one has asian patchwork on one side with the geisha print on the reverse side. I decided to just do a 1/4 inch seam around the placemat to finish it. I’m really happy with the way it turned out.decided to make a couple bar towels to go [...]       okay, so it’s not exactly completed. it’s actually 1/4 of the way completed. I just finished the first place mat. one down, three to go. ugh… I’m having a hard time getting through this project. I think I’ve been staring at all this fabric a little too long. I don’t think anyone was meant to [...] w.i.p…I picked up these cotton prints @ the local fabric store on Monday. love ‘em. I’ve been wanting to make either a table runner or place mats for my best friend, and finally spotted just the right fabric combo. perfection. I think I will piece the reds and the monochromes with others that I have [...] a friend of mine is adopting her 5 month old niece and I made these booties for her baby shower. my first pair of crochet slippers. the pattern I based them on suggested you buy a small strip of elastic and sew it to the inside of the slipper. asleep when he should be awake… my very first attempt of working with leatherette. let’s just say that I now have ALOT of leatherette scrap! I tried machine stitching it first but the fabric lining on the underside of the leatherette reared it’s tempermental head. It proved IMPOSSIBLE! and I don’t normally use “that” word [...] |
