as promised, I made up another set of the Geisha coasters that sold out so quickly in the shoppe. this set doesn’t have the patchwork though, as I was out of the fabric I used on the last set. but it’s the same black, creme and red scheme. these will be up in the shoppe [...]       Bari has middle name “tagged” me!so it seems that I’m supposed to name some of my favorite things for each letter in my middle name. an Anagram, of sorts??? here goes. Michiko means beautiful, wise child in Japanese.named for one of my great aunts in Japan, whom I have never met.and who is probably [...] w.i.p…I picked up these cotton prints @ the local fabric store on Monday. love ‘em. I’ve been wanting to make either a table runner or place mats for my best friend, and finally spotted just the right fabric combo. perfection. I think I will piece the reds and the monochromes with others that I have [...] japanese inspiration… my grandma Suzuki gave me this Japanese children’s book called “The Tale of the Shining Princess” when I was little. This lotus bag reminds me alot of the beautiful illustrations in that book. there’s something about them that’s both rugged and delicate at the same time. I love it!when I found this [...] |
