I wish I could say that it’s because I’ve just been too busy. But that just isn’t the honest to goodness truth.I fear that I have fallen out of love with my blog, [...] You dial 9 first, before calling your mother.Even though you’re using your home phone.From home.You catch your son “placing an IV” on his brother, during bathtime.Using a medicine dropper and small plastic soda bottle.“2 liters of Johnson’s Baby Wash, STAT!!!” You write down every movement your child has throughout the day.Except, you write it on [...] My little guy….what a trooper.After missing a whole week of school, (after only the second week of the school year)he goes back today. I hope he does alright. The doctor has him pumped full of so many medications right now, one of which includes Cortisone, that I worry he will be a bit loopy during [...] It’s dark. It’s quiet. The alarms have finally shut off and the only sound in the room is the hollow echo of my sweet boy’s painful breaths. We’re back here again. I’ve grown quite used to the signs at this point. Short, shallow breaths, coughing, wheezing, and watching what looks like his tiny heart try [...] This pattern-writing business is tricky stuff! I’ve been tweaking here and tweaking there, and I think I finally have the pattern where I want it. After 4 hours of counting stitches, unraveling and RE-counting stitches, jotting down this, scratching out that…. And let me just add, if you are working on a pattern that requires [...] when he whispers, “I bought you something.”And it turns out to be a plier set and a new toilet plunger. |
