Last week involved Bronchitis, antibiotics and cough medicine…..this week entailed a day and a half of excruciating tooth pain and a 3 hour Root Canal on Wednesday. Or……was it [...] Over a month ago, my husband and I took our oldest boy with us shopping about an hour away from home. We were looking for a new mattress set and also a new computer. Due to the length of time I knew I’d be spending in transit, I decided to bring along my current knitting [...] I spent $100 at the local yarn shoppe today. *blushing* P.S. What are your luxury splurges? w.i.p update…I’m making quite a bit of progress on my ripple afghan. I’m actually considering keeping it a little short so it can be a throw instead of a bed cover. during the summer months, you dress so skimpily and at night when the temps drop, something like this would be nice to throw over [...] I finally got around to crocheting something for myself. I keep seeing pics of gauntlets and think to myself, “those would be great with all my quarter length sleeve coats.”I wanted them in black, but found some charcoal tweed that just cried out to me, “buy me, buy me, oh please , take me home.” [...] a friend of mine is adopting her 5 month old niece and I made these booties for her baby shower. my first pair of crochet slippers. the pattern I based them on suggested you buy a small strip of elastic and sew it to the inside of the slipper.
